Our group consists of 4 members: Jade Hughes, Michael Kilmartin, Jermaine Blackett and Ivor Griffith.
As a group we have come up with our initial ideas for the music video which we will produce for our A2 media project.

The name we have chosen for the video is 'On The Low'.

'On The Low' tells the story off two teenage males being trapped in an urban environment, from which they are trying to escape. Due to the constant negativity surrounding them, they both feel that their lives need to change. Throughout the video we see how the area is portrayed to be negative and a setback to these two individuals. Negativity is portrayed through the publicly highlighted problem of gang / knife culture in urban environments. Through the lyrics we hear that both males wish to escape their surroundings and make a better future.

Genre
The genre of the music video is UK grime.

Audience:
"On The Low", is predominantly of an urban theme and outlines gang culture. The audience that is targeted is teenage males aged 15-24 as they can relate to the aspects shown in the video.

Suggested Elements:

Locations:
We have chosen locations to fit the theme of our video. The locations chosen are Manchester town centre, Hulme bridge, and local surroundings such as the youth clubs and parks. Also we will be filming in Jermaine's house as part of the introduction scene.

Performance:
The main theme of our music video is to portray the setbacks teenage males have in their everyday lives. "On The Low" as the name suggests, automatically sets out the outline of the performance. Michael and Jermaine will be filmed with their characters showing negativity and low emotion, as this will portray their surroundings.

Costumes:

The clothing that Michael and Jermaine will wear in the video will be typical urban clothing such as: Hoodies, tracksuit bottoms and trainers.

SFX:

We have the idea of using colour filters and also colour correction.
